Orebic is actually situated on the south western area of the Peljesac Peninsula at the base of Mount Ilija. There is a choice of seafood restaurants along the town’s promenade and the pretty streets are lined with flowers and shrubs. The 15th century monastery looks down from a hill above the town.

The town was a popular gateway for sailors whilst travelling to the bigger town of Dubrovnik and there is plenty of history in the area.
