Puerto Calero is a resort close to Puerto Del Carmen and Matagorda and is famous for its marina. The marina can house up to 450 yachts ranging to a maximum of 60ft in length. Many of the yachts harboured here are used for cross Atlantic sailings. Alongside the marina, there is a diverse range of bars and restaurants dotted along the waters’ edge to enable the visitor to watch the movement of people and boats along the promenade and marina itself.
Although this small resort is not blessed with a beach, there are plenty of beaches close by in the resorts of Matagorda and Puerto Del Carmen. The capital of Lanzarote is a mere 30 minutes away from the resort making it easily accessible from the airport.
