Holidays to Orlando offer you the chance to experience a massive choice of theme parks, a perfect choice for family holidays all year round. It puts you right at the centre of the entertainment and action in the sunshine state of Florida. Orlando is home to a huge collection of hotels, motels and private villas as well as Universal Studios, Seaworld and Walt Disney World Resort. There are no shortages of things to see and do in this fun packed part of the United States.
International Drive is the main centre of the tourism scene in Orlando. With a huge range of outlet style shopping malls, bars, restaurants, hotels and theme parks, it is the number one place to stay. There are footpaths on either side right down the main street, so taking a walk is nice and easy. Enjoy a trip on the 'I-Ride System', a tram which operates a shuttle service from 7am to midnight? You'll find fun and entertainment on tap day and night on International Drive with a great selection of places to eat out, ranging from Mexican, Chinese or fast food to gourmet cuisine. Shopaholics will be in heaven at the Florida Mall, which has over 200 stores in one complex.
Relax in Kissimme
Kissimme offers a much more laid back atmosphere and proves popular with families. Despite being a quieter area than International Drive, it actually has a lot of shops, bars and restaurants on the twenty mile long main street that leads all the way to Disney World Resort. Many tourists head to the 'Old Town' shopping mall, a charming place that captures the feel of real America with wood-fronted stores and lovely tree-lined sidewalks. There is a good choice of family friendly nightlife too such as Downtown Disney, and dinner shows at Medieval Times or Arabian Nights. Many of the Kissimmee hotels offer a free shuttle bus to the various theme parks.
The problem with Orlando holidays is that you’ll struggle to fit it all in on one holiday! With a whole range of things to do, it really is the dream destination for families, couples and indeed anybody looking for fun, sun and world class entertainment. Although you’ll need to do a little prior planning before setting off, holidays to Orlando offer a whole lot more than just the world famous theme parks. Golfers of all levels, shoppers, and foodie lovers of fine international cuisine are all well catered for.
