The beautiful resort of Turgutreis is situated on the Bodrum peninsula, it started life as a sleepy fishing village but has established itself as a thriving beach holiday resort and ideal for a relaxing holiday away from the bright lights of nearby Gumbet and Bodrum. Situated just ten mile along the coast from Bodrum it offers beautiful scenery as well as a fabulous beach scene.
The picturesque harbour is at the heart of the resort and there are many bars and restaurants situated on the waterfront that serve the catch of the day whilst you enjoy the breathtaking sunsets. There are gorgeous sandy beaches that run for miles from east to west, straight through the resort and there is a wide choice of sun beds and water sports on offer. Excursions and daily boat trips are widely available to other areas on the Bodrum peninsula. On the marina there are several bars where you can experience live traditional Turkish music that is played daily. There are also a handful of music bars that open until the early hours, but it is a mainly laid back low key nightlife that appeals to the holidaymakers that visit the resort. For a livelier night out the nearby Bodrum and Gumbet are just a short taxi ride away.
