Kemer manages to combine the cosmopolitan atmosphere of its attractive marina with the more traditional Turkish flavour of the cafes and lokantas that line the town beach. There are two beaches: the public beach, pebbly with lots of water sports on offer, and a choice of enjoyable boat excursions, and “Moonlight Beach”, a mixture of sand and shingle, with citrus groves providing colour and welcome shade. When you are not on the beach, have a wander around the many shops, bars and restaurants, or stroll around the marina, where you can sit back with a long, cool drink and watch the comings and goings of the ritzy yachts that moor there. The area of Goynuk consists of smart hotels, is picturesque with mountains to one side and the Med to the other. The village of Goynuk retains its Turkish charm and has a small selection of shops and simple restaurants.
Kemer is a purpose-built resort that offers a warm atmosphere and stunning beaches. Because of its nature, Kemer provides a large range of facilities for holidaymakers, as well as providing a beautiful setting. It was once a small seaside town situated in a valley full of pines. It is surrounded by the Taurus Mountains, and possesses a small marina and promenade, which makes for a beautiful evening walk down to the beach. Along the beach are many hotels, all within keeping of the landscape, as well as many coves and bays.
