With its stunning soft white beaches and turquoise waters, you could be mistaken to think that the resort of Jandia is in the Caribbean. It is actually situated on the southern tip of Fuerteventura around an hour and fifteen minutes from the airport and makes for a great choice for a beach holiday in the Canaries. Jandia holidays have a more of an upmarket feel and the beaches here are possibly the best on the island if not the Canaries.
Couples and families love the laid back feeling of the resort and enjoy the calm waters all year round thanks to the warm climate that see's the mercury hitting up to 31ºc in summer and rarely below 19ºc during the coldest winter months back home. The sea breeze makes it a great choice to do water sports such as wind surfing and paragliding. A further range of sports such as Jet Ski's, pedaloes and banana boats are also on offer. There is plenty of sun bathing spots on the 32kms of un-crowded beaches to enjoy to and holidaymakers won't have to walk far to find their own private bit of sand.
There is a selection of good quality restaurants to choose from which serve everything from Tapas to fresh lobster and a good choice of local and international cuisine. The nearby resort of Morro Jable has a number of fine restaurants serving fresh seafood around the harbour and sea front too. Nightlife here is pretty low key, however there are a few lively bars in the centre of the resort as well as a selection of cafes and quieter bars on the sea front.
