The Bungalow Beach Aparthotel is an old favourite with many holidaymakers who have nicknamed it "BB" many of whom return year after year. It enjoys an enviable position on Kotu Beach. It is one of only a few hotels in The Gambia offering self-catering facilities. The main appeal for guests is not just the great beachside location but also the tranquil atmosphere around the pool and throughout the well-manicured gardens – it’s certainly not hard to find a peaceful spot in which to relax. The beach next to the hotel has a selection of beach bars close by and is popular with tourists as well as ex-pat Europeans who love the beautiful white sands and cooling breeze.
The apartments are arranged in two-storey buildings in and around the gardens, with either a terrace or balcony to enjoy the beauty of the grounds. A few have sea views so if you prefer to wake up to the ocean, you may choose to upgrade. For single travellers, some smaller studios are available with no supplement, however air-conditioning is not an option in these.

Each apartment has a small, equipped kitchenette, lounge/dining area and separate bedroom, except singles which comprise one open-plan area. On arrival you will receive a complimentary welcome pack supplemented by a daily delivery of fresh bread. Although you have the facilities to eat in your apartment (there is a mini-market on site), the beauty of a self-catering holiday is that you also get to sample the local specialities. There is a choice of restaurants close by, plus the hotel has its own restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner with an à la carte menu.
