If your idea of paradise is unspoilt beautiful white sand beaches lapped by beautiful crystal clear warm waters, then you really must have a holiday in Cuba! The largest of the Caribbean Islands, Cuba has retained a timeless charm and is pretty much unspoilt compared to other tourist hotspots in the area. There is lots of traditional food and drink to try and enjoy, beautiful quiet beaches and of course there is Havana, the home of cigars and salsa dancing. Enveloped in a time-warp that has, for decades, given it a distinctive appeal for curious travellers in search of unique "hidden secrets", Cuba has represented that highly-desirable faraway place forever stuck in time, moving (if at all) at a far slower pace than the rest of the world.
You must explore this great part of the world which offers a fusion of Afro and Latino cultures, this unique destination is completely different to anywhere you have been to or will go to again! Cuba holidays offer some of the best value for money you can get for an exotic faraway break in the Caribbean, and with some of the best white sand beaches and warm turquoise waters in the Caribbean and a great year round climate, it is a perfect choice for a year round break in the sun.
Cuba has an enormous wealth of breathtaking urban and natural landscapes that must be seen to be believed. Beyond the typical tourist hotspots of Havana and Varadero, there are a wealth of places to be discovered. From the beating drums of Santiago de Cuba with its lively carnival, to the picturesque French seaside city of Cienfuegos, the idyllic seclusion of the paradisiacal keys, the jaw-dropping nature of the Viñales Valley and the lush tobacco-growing fields in Pinar del Rio; this beautiful paradise is just waiting to be explored!
All year round holidays in Cuba
As with most Caribbean islands Cuba has a tropical climate, the dry months are from November to April, during the rest of the year there tends to be a tropical shower that can come at anytime day or night, they can be heavy but usually only last a matter of minutes. Temperatures range from the low 20's to the high 20's depending on the time of year.
Spend some time in the island's capital, Havana, where you will feel like you have gone back in time when you see the streets lined with classic 1950's American cars. In Havana you will experience a warm welcome, you can take a tour at the famous Havana Club Rum Factory, watch Cuban cigars being made - have a try of one too, you can take a trip in one of the old American cars or salsa the night away in one of the many dance venues. and experience the Buena Vista Social Club live show for a real authentic feel of the Cuban rhythms. Havana is available as an excursion from all the main resorts or as a fantastic twin centre Cuba holiday.
Daytimes are all about enjoying the glorious year-round sunshine, be it chilling out around the hotel pool or on one of the many top notch white sand beaches or indeed trying your hand at watersports or a spot of diving on one of the coastal reefs if you like your sea life. The most popular way of enjoying a holiday in Cuba is staying at an all inclusive hotel, there is a lot of choice in all the resorts.
Cuba Holiday Resorts
The holiday resorts in Cuba are varied and are a great choice for singles, couples and families, all resorts offer a good choice of hotels for all budgets with plenty of space on the beach and the chance to sip a cocktail whilst watching the sun dip down for the day. The international favourite resort of Varadero is the closest beach resort to the island capital Havana, it is around a two hour drive away. Its white sandy beaches and sparkling waters offer a great place to lie back and enjoy the warm sunshine. For the more energetic the watersports here are plentiful and once you have chilled out for the day you will find loads of lively bars and restaurants were you can salsa until the early hours.
For a more relaxing resort look no further than the Holguin area of Cuba.
