Albena is one of the quieter and more laid back holiday resorts in Bulgaria and is a fantastic choice for a family holiday with its beautiful seven kilometre long sandy beach with safe bathing and beautiful fine sand. The resort is surrounded by a backdrop of lush green forests, it is an ideal resort for families or couples looking for a nice relaxing holiday in the sun. Even though Albena is one of the quieter places to stay in Bulgaria it still has plenty going on in and around the resort including mini golf, ten pin bowling, arcades and water sports.
During the evening you can go out and visit numerous shops bars and restaurants, so you can make your holiday as quiet or as lively as you want. Albena holidays are becoming more popular each year due to the short flight time and the cost of living as it’s very cheap to eat and drink in the resort itself.
Albena - Good choice of excursions
The larger resort of Golden Sands is close by where there is a larger choice of shops, bars and restaurants. There is also a wide range of excursions on offer and available to book in resort, these include trips to Varna, boat trips and jeep safaris so there is something to suit everyone.
There are plenty of other things to do in Golden Sands as well as relaxing on the beach there is plenty of shops selling local crafts and the pavement bars and cafes are great for people watching. Excursions to Sofia or the historical town of Nessebar are popular choices as well as boat trips. During your holiday in Golden Sands you can do as little or as much as you like!
