Paleokastritsa is situated on the holiday island of Corfu on the north-west coast. Its nestled in a bay and is encompassed by olive groves and trees.
There are three main villages which make up Paleokastritsa. The village of Liapades an authentic Corfu village which offers a splendid beach and a wide range of bars, restaurants and tavernas to choose from. Krini - this village is set away from the beach and offers the holidaymaker a chance to embrace some of the culture this island has to offer. The primary feature of this village is the castle which overlooks the Ionian Sea and offers dramatic views across the landscape. The third village is Lakones. This traditional village is set amongst the hills and here will allow you to see what traditional Greece is all about. From villagers wearing traditional outfits to sampling local cuisine – there is plenty to choose. With its vantage point of being high in the hills, you can see for miles around to see what the landscape of Corfu is like.
There are plenty of beaches to choose from when enjoying your holidays to Paleokastritsa. The primary beach is Agios Spyridon famed for its crystal clear waters and unspoilt powder white sands. For snorkelling and diving, there are plenty of dive centres towards to the north-end of the beach.
